Easter's promise: life made new

 Sentinel Audio Chat
Audio begins on March 26, 2013 at 2:00 pm EDT. Please come back to hear the broadcast!
Candace DuMars
While the crucifixion of Jesus is a central part of the Easter story, the resurrection and ascension are reasons why Easter is truly a time of great hope. Easter points to the possibility of each one of us understanding our spiritual life. At the very heart of Easter is the promise that anyone's life can be transformed, uplifted, and made new every day.
This chat is an opportunity to explore Easter's deep message and its relevance to us today. If you feel a need for a kind of “resurrection” in life—which could mean finding a fresh start, new hope, or the healing of some challenge—or if you just want to support a greater understanding of and appreciation for the meaning of Easter, then join this chat and bring your questions for Christian Science practitioner and teacher Candace du Mars from Port Orchard, Washington.
About Candace du Mars: Candace was introduced to Christian Science when her daughter was invited to attend a friend’s Christian Science Sunday School. Candace started attending the church services, which led to the healing of a longstanding problem. After joining The Mother Church and becoming an active worker in the local Christian Science church, Candace took Primary class instruction. In 1987 she left her job as a high school teacher and debate coach to devote her full time to being a Christian Science practitioner. In 1991 she became a teacher of Christian Science.
Candace was a member of the Christian Science Board of Lectureship for ten years and served The Mother Church as First Reader from 2001-2004.
