"To those leaning on the sustaining infinite, to-day is big with blessings," writes Mary Baker Eddy, in Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures (p. vii). This promise is for you. If you or someone you know is struggling with depressed or suicidal thoughts, or if you just want to know how to pray more effectively about this issue, this live chat is an opportunity to discover more about God's sustaining power in one's life—even in troubled times. About Sarah Hyatt: Sarah is a Christian Science practitioner and teacher from Charleston, South Carolina. As a teenager, at a time when she was suffering from depression and contemplating suicide, Sarah was introduced to Christian Science as explained in the textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. Through wrestling in prayer with the ideas she found in the book, she found freedom from depression – and continued going back to learn more.
Acting on the gratitude that she felt for healing in her life, Sarah entered the public practice of Christian Science in the early 1980s, advertising in The Christian Science Journal for the first time in 1988. She served for more than a decade on the Christian Science Board of Lectureship, sharing spiritual ideas of healing with audiences across the United States, Canada, and the Caribbean. In 2000, Sarah became an authorized teacher of Christian Science healing.
