Michele Newport
The Bible has many accounts of people and nations who became refugees but whose trust in God preserved them and led them to safety.  As the Psalmist put it, "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble," (Psalm 46:1).  To discover more about how your prayers can support today's refugees, no matter what part of the world they are from, join this chat with a Christian Science practitioner.
About Michele Newport: Michele grew up in Provo, Utah, where she attended Christian Science Sunday School. As a young adult she moved to Redondo Beach, California, and worked as a secretary in the aerospace industry for several years. Years later she and her husband moved to Salt Lake City where she served as Christian Science Committee on Publication for almost nine years. She became a Journal-listed practitioner in 1997, and over the years has contributed many articles to the Christian Science publications. In 2001 they moved to Boston where she served in the Committee on Publication office and then worked part time in the TMC Reading Room. Now in Albuquerque, New Mexico, she devotes her full time to the healing practice.
