“Repentance is a subject of great importance in many religions, but in order for it to be truly effective and uplifting, it needs to be seen in its true light and meaning. When fully understood and practiced, it brings healing, enlightenment, and a clear sense of our innocent, sinless identity as God’s beloved child.” Those words from Jill Gooding, a Christian Science practitioner and teacher who will be the guest on this upcoming live chat, beautifully frame the concept of repentance in a hopeful, redeeming light.
While repentance is commonly thought of as sorrow for wrongdoing, it doesn’t have to stop there. Repentance can help lead to reformation of character and freedom from sin, and so bring us great joy in the understanding of our innate innocence.

About Jill Gooding: Jill has actively served The Mother Church as a member of the Christian Science Board of Directors, President of The Mother Church, and on the Christian Science Board of Lectureship. She has been a Christian Science practitioner for 37 years and is currently a teacher of Christian Science living in Ripley, Surrey, England.
Jill has a son and a daughter and five grandchildren.
